GREAT – Grant for Research & Entrepreneurship across Aspiring Innovators in Technical Textiles

Ministry of Textiles (National Technical Textiles Mission)

GREAT gives funding and incubator support to innovators and startups in technical textiles so they can turn prototypes into market-ready products and technologies. A scheme under the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) to support technical-textile innovators and startups. It help young innovators, entrepreneurs and startups convert technical-textile prototypes into market-ready products/technologies.

Who can apply
Individual innovators who are Indian citizens aged 21 years or above, incubated with an eligible incubator, and working on technical-textile innovation. • Startup companies incorporated as a private limited company, partnership firm or LLP, with turnover below ₹100 crore, not older than 5 years, and at least 51% Indian resident ownership/control. • Projects must relate to technical-textile areas such as agro-textiles, geo- textiles, medical textiles, protective textiles, smart textiles, high- performance fibres, sustainable textiles, composites, or indigenous machinery/equipment.
